Description

The Opinel Les Forgés 1890 Chef's Knife is a premium kitchen tool that embodies traditional craftsmanship.

Part of the esteemed Les Forgés 1890 collection, this knife reflects the excellence of French cutlery and draws inspiration from the artistry of two-Michelin-starred Savoyard chef Jean Sulpice.

This knife is fully hot-forged from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, ensuring that the blade sharpens effortlessly and maintains a keen edge. The full tang construction provides remarkable balance, making it ideal for slicing and dicing a variety of ingredients. The handle, crafted from heat-treated beech wood, offers enhanced water resistance for easy upkeep. With a bevel angle of 15° on each side and a Rockwell Hardness rating between 57 and 59 HRC, this knife is designed for precision and durability. It features a V-grip to assist in guiding the blade for accurate cuts, as well as an Ergo-Profile that helps to prevent hand clenching and minimise fatigue during use. The stabilised beech wood handle not only enhances comfort but also improves water resistance.

Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: The stainless steel blades require no special maintenance, making them easy to clean by hand. After each use, clean the blades and dry thoroughly to prevent deterioration.
- Storage: Store the knives in a dry place to protect the blade and handle from moisture and damage.
- Note on Dishwasher Safety: Although Opinel knives are dishwasher safe, Opinel recommends against this practice to preserve the sharpness and longevity of the blades.

Shipping & Returns

Permission to Return and to Receive Credit
We will accept the return of merchandise ONLY IF IN SALEABLE CONDITION and notification is within 7 days of receipt. We will Issue Credit to your account or Credit Card in Australian dollars. For unwanted merchandise, the cost of return shipping shall be the responsibility of the customer.

Damaged or Incorrect Merchandise
We will, upon your request, replace any merchandise that is received in damaged condition or as a result of a picking error. No material will be accepted or replacements issued without prior approval to return such merchandise. Filing of claims will be our responsibility.

RETURNS AND CREDITS

Please note a restocking fee will be applied, subject to conditions of sale. No claims or returns will be recognized unless made within 7 days of receipt of goods & relevant invoice number is quoted. We do not accept returns on indent (order in products), clearance items or any product subject to this quotation.

 

CANCELLATION

Cancellation of orders will incur a cancellation fee up to the total order amount. The implementation of this charge shall be solely up to Chef’s Hat Australia’s discretion.
