Guests enjoyed authentic Greek food in Melbourne, with mouth-watering gyros from Eleni’s Kitchen + Bar and indulgent desserts by Cakes by Thierry. It was a true celebration of flavour, laughter, and community. From tasting delicious bites to meeting the author, the day was filled with Greek culinary heritage and shared stories.

Showcasing Melbourne’s Greek Food Community:

Both Eleni’s Kitchen + Bar and Cakes by Thierry have been loyal Chef’s Hat customers for many years, and it was a privilege to highlight their creations at the event.

  • Eleni’s Kitchen + Bar, Yarraville – A family-owned restaurant with deep roots in Melbourne’s Greek community. Their menu revives traditional dishes once served at the first Greek restaurant opposite the Sun Theatre. Today, they’re known for authentic gyros, meze, and other Greek favourites that bring a taste of heritage back to Yarraville.

  • Cakes by Thierry – Based at Jimmy’s Deli in Yarraville, Thierry creates custom cakes, bento cakes, and handcrafted desserts that are as beautiful as they are delicious. From elegant birthday cakes to modern mousse creations, they’re a go-to for Greek desserts in Melbourne.
