The Block Party 2026: Three Epic Days at Chef's Hat
|
The Block Party 2026: Three Epic Days at Chef's Hat The Block Party returned to Chef's Hat in 2026, and this year, we went bigger. Across three huge days from 31 August to 2 September, the Chef's Hat showroom came alive with chefs, hospitality professionals, home cooks, suppliers and some of the biggest names in the industry. From live cooking demonstrations and tastings to new cookware, commercial kitchen equipment, outdoor cooking and cookbooks, there was something happening around every corner. Three Days of Demos, Tastings & Industry Favourites Our demo stage was packed across all three days, giving guests the chance to get up close with some incredible chefs and industry favourites. We welcomed Andreas Papadakis of Tipo 00, Karen Martini, Troy Wheeler of Meatsmith and more, with demonstrations covering everything from fresh pasta and baking to coffee, cocktails and wine. Guests could watch the action, taste what was being made and hear directly from the people behind some of Melbourne's favourite restaurants, products and brands. There were also book signings throughout the event, giving guests the chance to meet some of the chefs and take home a signed copy.
Beyond the Demo Stage The Block Party took over much more than just the stage. Throughout the showroom, our suppliers and partners showcased the latest cookware, commercial kitchen equipment, knives, glassware and tableware, with tastings and demonstrations happening across all three days. Outside, the live-fire cooking took centre stage with three of our favourite outdoor cooking brands, Tagwood, Kasai Grill and Gozney, all fired up and cooking throughout the event. Inside, coffee was flowing and incredible food was coming off the demo stage. Guests could see products and equipment being put through their paces rather than simply seeing them on the shelf. That's a big part of what we want The Block Party to be: a chance to taste, try, learn, meet and experience.
Bringing the Melbourne Hospitality Industry Together Monday and Tuesday brought together chefs, venue owners and hospitality professionals with the suppliers and brands they work with every day. On Wednesday, we welcomed our retail customers and home cooks into the mix. Seeing those two sides of Chef's Hat come together was one of the highlights of the three days. Whether you work in a professional kitchen or simply love cooking at home, The Block Party was about sharing a love of great food, great products and learning from some seriously talented people. See It For Yourself We captured it all, the food, the chefs, the crowds and everything happening throughout the showroom. Watch one of our Block Party 2026 promo videos to get a feel for the lead up, and our Block Party 2026 highlights on Instagram to see what went down across the three days. Thank You A huge thank you to every chef, presenter, exhibitor, supplier and partner who helped bring The Block Party to life, and to everyone who came through our doors over the three days. It was an epic three days. Until the next Block Party. Chef's Hat - Where the Chefs Shop. |
